[REVIEW] G&G Max Pure Grey

Hello! Today’s review is about circle lenses which I wore for a while and fell in love with! First of all let me say this, I’m not a everyday contact lens user and before max pure grey I never used any circle lenses.

Most of the people say for first circle lenses you shouldn’t order ones with very big diameter because your eyes may not get used to them. I’m not a very great advice listener so my first circle lens order was max pure grey which has a 14.5 mm diameter with 15mm effect. These lenses has a dark grey ring around them with thin grey lines going towards inside. It has a very natural gradient to it. They also have a duration of 1 year depending on how you use and take care of them.

I ordered this pair from PinkyParadise and they sent it with a very cute animal shaped contact lens case. You can read my review about pinkyparadise here.

When I first wore them I didn’t have any make up on so I thought “Woah! My eyes look extremely huge!”. I didn’t think I would actually be able to wear these. But after I put make up on my eyes the lenses actually looked very nice. Made my eyes look shiny and big and not too unnatural. I have very dark brown eyes almost black so the grey gradient on the lenses gave my eyes a nice shiny gradient colour. The first time I wore them even though I have sensitive eyes and lenses diameter was big they didn’t feel uncomfortable actually after a while I didn’t even feel them in my eyes. They did not move around and made my vision blurry which I was actually scared of happening.

As you can see in the photo it makes my eye look huge! I’m also raising my eyebrows to make my hooded lids to look big :P You can also see a little redness in my eyes. I took the photo after wearing it for about 4 hours. I got the redness after wearing it for 4 hours and for circle lenses they say not to wear it for more than 6 hours so I think it’s fair I got that little redness and let me remind you my eyes were definitely not used to wearing circle lenses at the time. After wearing them for few times, my eyes got used to it and I can wear them for about 6 hours without getting any redness or discomfort in my eyes. So these lenses are very comfortable even for first time circle lens users. They give you the ulzzang effect for sure. I think Hong Young Gi’s lenses look very similar to these ones actually. I wish I could provide better photos but the expiration date has passed on these lenses and I already threw them away so this is all I have for now but if I happen to find better photos in my computer I will definitely update this post with them (: I’m also wearing them in my profile photo!

Overall:

Design/ Pattern: 5/5
Soft pattern with nice gradation and not too pixelated. From a distance it blends in naturally but upclose you can see the pattern.

Colour: 3/5
Dark grey with gradation, when worn on dark brown eyes the colour looks natural from a distance but upclose you can see the thin grey lines which looks very pretty. With flash photography the grey shows up really well but in natural lighting it’s blended with your natural eye colour.

Enlargement: 5/5
The description for these lenses and even the package says they are 14.5mm but they have 15mm effect! Definitely looks bigger than 14.5mm.

Comfort: 4/5
Very comfortable even for a first time circle lens user. Might need eyedrops after 4-5 hours.

My next post will be about Korean and Japanese Make Up Haul but I’m still debating whether I should make a video of it or a blog post or maybe both? Well we’ll see! Thank you for reading my blog!
